Calling all country music, bluegrass and gospel lovers… there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the music this fall.
It starts this Friday with FurFest at The Bradford Barn.
A ‘Paws-itive evening’ and fundraiser for the OSPCA, FurFest features house band Stable Polarity, and a very special guest performer – two-time Canadian Country Music Award-winning Male Artist of the Year and Juno Award winner, Jason McCoy.
Tickets are only $40 online when purchased in advance, or $50 at the door.
The Bradford Barn, a century barn that offers a state-of-the-art lighting and sound system, is located at 3287 Line 9 in BWG, just west of Henderson Park. Furfest takes place Sept. 27; doors open at 7:30 p.m. Food will be available from the Barnzilla Grill. Licenced.
Also on Friday, Yodelling Cowgirl Naomi Bristow will perform at St. James United Church in Stroud, Innisfil – part of the church’s 169th Anniversary weekend celebration.
Bristow will be singing favourite Country and Gospel tunes, backed by a choir, on Sept. 27 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are only $15 each, available at 705-436-5225, or email [email protected]. St. James is located at 2230 Victoria St. W. in Stroud.
HeeHaw Hootenany, October 12 at the Bradford Legion, 115 Back St. – featuring the band Caribou Country. Enjoy a dinner of Pulled Pork, Corn, Baked Beans and Coleslaw, and dance the night away, from 7 p.m. to midnight, for only $20 per person. Tickets available at the Legion, or call 905-775-5025.
The final show in the IACHC concert series at the Lakeshore Branch of the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library takes place November 18 – a performance by The Travelling Mabels, a folk/country group from Alberta, voted ACMA Group of the Year in 2011. Tickets $30, online or at the door. Doors at the Lakeshore Library, 967 Innisfil Beach Rd., open at 7 p.m.
