Strawberry suppers a sweet summer tradition

Some berry-licious dinners are coming up in the Bradford West Gwillimbury area

Strawberry suppers are a tradition at churches around the region, serving up ham or cold cuts, a variety of salads, and luscious strawberries for dessert - strawberries and whipped cream, Strawberry shortcake, strawberry pies.

This year’s cold, wet spring, and the sale of a local pick-your-own berry farm have put a bit of a damper on the strawberry season, but Bradford United Church was still able to provide bowls of fresh, juicy berries for its Strawberry Supper last Saturday, a perfect cap to a dinner of roasted ham, salads and rolls.
