Staff member at Bradford Food Basics tests positive for COVID-19

A staff member at Bradford's Food Basics, located at 493 Holland St. West has tested positive for COVID-19. 

Metro was notified about the case on April 3. The last day the employee worked was March 31. 

"We will always contact and follow the guidance of Public Health to ensure the safety of our teammates and customers whenever we are made aware of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in one of our food stores or distribution centres," reads a statement on the company website.

Due to privacy reasons, Metro will not release any personal information about employees.  

"We will always do everything we can to support our teammates and ensure their safety, and the safety of our customers as well. Where required, we will communicate with customers who have shopped in the impacted location to manage the situation. Out of an abundance of caution, with each case that is reported, we will deep clean and sanitize the location."
