Spring forward: It's nearly time to change your clocks once more

Don’t forget to set your clock ahead before heading to bed on Saturday.

Daylight saving time officially begins at 2 a.m. Sunday (March 10), when time springs forward an hour.

Clocks will be set back again on Nov. 3.

Some politicians have been working to stick to daylight time and not change the clocks twice a year. In 2020, a private members bill to end the time change in Ontario passed, but there has been no progress since. To move ahead, New York State and Quebec would have to be on board.

With clocks changing, fire departments encourage people to replace smoke detector batteries as well.
