Get ready for the Name-a-Plow Auction hosted by S.H.I.F.T., where you’ll have the unique opportunity to name a snowplow AND support vital programs that keep our community warm and safe. We’re not just plowing snow; we’re plowing ahead to fight homelessness and food insecurity in South Simcoe.
In a bold move that’s sure to clear the streets of your typical winter boredom, the Name-a-Plow Auction offers the chance to place your winning bid and name one, or more, of 7, New Tecumseth’s hardworking street and sidewalk plows with the most creative, punny, or downright hilarious name you can think of. (We’re looking at you, PlowMageddon and Snow Big Deal). Whether you go for something funny, fierce, or downright festive, this is your chance to leave your mark on winter with a name that will make everyone smile.
All funds raised through this fun-filled auction will directly benefit S.H.I.F.T.’s vital programs and services for youth, adults, and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness and/or food insecurity in South Simcoe. From emergency overnight shelter to daytime drop-in and outreach services, S.H.I.F.T. is on the front lines, helping our neighbours when they need it most. So, by bidding on a snowplow name, you’ll be spreading warmth and kindness all winter long.
