Smile Cookie sales in Bradford go to seniors organization

Only $1 each, the full amount from each sale goes to local charities, chosen by the franchisees and staff

Coast to coast, Tim Hortons stores are stocking up on Smile Cookies – big chocolate chip cookies with bright blue eyes, and a big pink smile.

The cookies are only available once a year, for one week. Only $1 each, the full amount from each sale goes to local charities, chosen by the franchisees and staff.

Across the country, more than 500 charities and organizations will be benefiting from this year’s sales, from breakfast clubs, to local sports organizations, to hospital trauma centres.

In Bradford West Gwillimbury, Tim Hortons franchise owners Jack and Perry Thornton plan to donate Smile Cookie sales to Community and Home Assistance to Seniors (CHATS) to help pay for an accessible van used to provide transportation services for seniors in the community.

Smile cookies are available from Sept. 17-23. Have you shared a smile today?
