The GO train pulls into the Newmarket station.

Residents lucky enough to have Taylor Swift concert tickets will have some extra late trains available courtesy of Metrolinx.

The transit service is running late trains on both the Barrie and Stouffville GO lines to allow concert-goers to arrive home safely. This comes with Taylor Swift's Eras tour coming to Toronto Nov. 14 to 16 and 21 to 23.

“We expect a large number of fans attending the concert series and encourage everyone to play their part in contributing to our collective safety,” Metrolinx said in a news release.

Tens of thousands are expected to attend Taylor Swift’s concerts at the Rogers Centre, with tickets currently going for more than $1,500 each on the resale market.

For the weekday concerts on the Barrie Line (Nov. 14, 15, 21, 22), the 10:01 p.m. weekday northbound trip from Union will not run but an extra run will be added at 11:54 p.m. and will stop at all stations.

For the weekend concerts (Nov. 16 and 23), the last outbound train from Union will depart one hour later, with the 10:54 p.m. northbound trip rescheduled to depart at 11:54 p.m.

The Stouffville line service will also offer a later train for the weekend concerts. The last outbound trains on Nov. 16 and 23 will depart 30 minutes later, with the 11:11 p.m. northbound trip departing from Union at 11:41 p.m.

Metrolinx is also planning special GO Bus services to accommodate the influx of downtown traffic. You can find adjustments on the GO bus website.
