A severe thunderstorm warning has ended for our area. Environment Canada says severe thunderstorms have weakened or moved out of the region.

Severe thunderstorm warning issued for:
   Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus, Ont. (046510)

Current details:
At 5:06 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.

This severe thunderstorm is located near Angus, moving southeast at 25 km/h.

Hazard: Nickel size hail.

Locations impacted include:
Everett and Borden.

Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
