Santa made his first appearance in Bradford West Gwillimbury 24 hours before the big Santa Claus Parade on Nov. 17. Santa, Mrs. Claus and an elf were the special guests at Ad-dictive Design & Promotion on Barrie Street, delivering a little ‘Christmas Magic.’ The event, engaging the community, and raising funds for SickKids Hospital, had the support of other businesses in town. Donna Katz, owner of Genesis Gymnastics, brought candies and gingerbread men that kids could decorate; Peter Ferragine of Team Ferragine served up hot chocolate and marshmallows; the Mother Mary Soap Co. handed out hot apple cider and soap samples; and Ad-dictive Design staff served up bowls of chili, warming up participants at the outdoor event. While Mrs. Claus created balloon sculptures, and the elf painted faces, Santa listened to the Christmas wishes of his biggest fans. Miriam King/BradfordToday
