A local sanctuary is celebrating one of its animal’s birthdays with a fundraiser.
Wishing Well Sanctuary, at 2710 Line 10 in Bradford West Gwillimbury, invites the community to help celebrate the first birthday of Hector the turkey.
The event will take place Aug. 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. and will feature contests, giveaways, a dunk tank and a plant-based barbecue with burgers and sausages available for purchase.
Visitors can also meet the animals, enjoy wagon rides and take part in games.
Tickets cost $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
