Remembrance Day is a day to thank all members of Canada’s Armed Forces, who have served in the past to protect our country and our freedoms, to thank those who are still serving, and to remember those who lay down their lives in that service.
On Monday, Nov. 11, students at Bradford District High School gathered to commemorate veterans and the fallen at a Remembrance Day assembly, as did other schools all cross Canada.
The assembly started with the school’s band playing O Canada, then moved into a speech and a power point presentation, of the soldiers from our community who gave their lives. Some were past students at Bradford District high school.
Mrs. Wroblewski’s grade 11 and 12 drama classes performed two scenes - depicting a farewell to a loved one, and a dramatic wartime chemical attack – followed by a dance performance.
