Ontario Public Health is reporting 115 new cases of COVID-19 in the province this morning.

This follows Saturday's report when 108 new cases were confirmed, and Friday when 131 new cases were announced.

Sunday's new numbers bring the total tally of cases to 41,402 in Ontario since the pandemic began. Of those more than 41,000 cases, health officials say 37,595 people have recovered, which is an increase of 108 since the last report on Saturday.

There have been no deaths in Ontario in the last 24 hours from the virus.

There have been 2,797 deaths from the virus since mid-January. The majority of the deaths — 1,804 — have been people living in long-term care facilities.

Across the province, well over 2.7 million COVID tests have been completed, including 23,384 in the last 24 hours. There are 16,115 cases currently under investigation.

Forty-one people are currently hospitalized in Ontario and being treated for COVID-19, which is an increase of one since yesterday. Eleven of those patients are in intensive care units, which is down by two patients since Saturday's report, and six are on ventilators, which is one less than Saturday's numbers.

Meanwhile, according to the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, there have now been a total of 680 coronavirus cases confirmed in the Simcoe-Muskoka region, with a large majority of the cases in Simcoe County. Of those, 627 cases are now listed as recovered and 37 people have died. There are 13 active local cases, and one person is still hospitalized.
