July is readers' favourite month, with September and October tied for second place, an online poll showed this week.
Women showed more affection than men for September, October and (notably) December than men did.
People under 40 were much more likely to pick the winter months than their elders:
Perhaps not surprisingly, people who prefer a really wintry winter — Classic Winter (tm) — were much more likely to pick the winter months than people who don't. Among the group that hopes for a mild winter, nobody at all picked January, February or March.
Is there a relationship to whether people are active hockey fans? Well, not to any huge extent, to be honest, except maybe a little bit with regard to March:
And while politics may divide us in many ways, I can't see any meaningful partisan divide when it comes to the time of the year.
