Pho Bistro is officially open for business in Bradford.
On Saturday, Mayor Rob Keffer, members of council, MP Scot Davidson and the Bradford Board of Trade were in attendance for the official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony.
Husband and wife team, Danny Dao and Hong Nguyen have had their restaurant in Barrie for the past four years and decided to expand, adding a second location in Bradford.
The Vietnamese and Thai cuisine restaurant offers an extensive menu with many dishes to choose from, including soups, curries fried rice and noddles. They also offer catering services for meetings, parties and special events.
Davidson congratulated the couple on their second location opening.
"This is almost the beginning of a franchise," he said, noting that Bradford is a great community to do business in.
"I hope to have another one soon, that's my dream, more and more (locations)," added Nguyen.
Ryan Charron welcomed the couple to the community on behalf of the Bradford Board of Trade, and presented them with a certificate of congratulations.
"It's a beautiful location you have here," he said. "We wish you success and a warm welcome to the Bradford community."
Mayor Keffer presented the couple with a certificate of achievement on behalf of the town.
"New and unique culinary experiences are fuelling the expansion and tourism in Bradford," he said, noting the new restaurant will surely be popular with residents and visitors of Bradford.
"It's great that you've come to Bradford West Gwillimbury to open your second restaurant. The menu looks awesome," he said. "Thank you for investing in our town."
The couple say they are happy to be able to have the opportunity to do business in Bradford.
"So far the community has been really supportive," noted Dao. The couple lives in Barrie and are hopeful their new location in Bradford will be a success. Pho Bistro is located at 300 Holland St.West.
