One man's junk is another's treasure....(6 photos)

Deal seekers and thrift finders were out and about last weekend for Bradford's second Curbside Treasure Hunt

Bradford participated in its second Curbside Treasure Hunt last weekend, spanning over two days.

The hunt allowed for residents to leave their unwanted items at the curb from Saturday morning at 7 a.m. to Sunday at 7 p.m.

It was an opportunity for people to exercise their inner 'Marie Kondo' and clear their clutter, while passing along unwanted items to those who could use them.

Hunters were out bright and early on Saturday morning, scooping up some amazing finds, some of which were brand new and never used.

The event coincided with York Region's Curbside Giveaway Day, giving deal-finders more area to cover, although not many residents were aware of this according to the feedback survey from the Town of Bradford.

Sunday was a bit of a damper, literally, as the rain made it difficult to leave out some non-waterproof items.

General feedback from the public following the event indicates that residents would prefer the event to be held earlier in the year, when the weather is a bit more favourable.

For those who still have unwanted items left over and want to get rid of, check out the link here for a list of locations in the area to drop off.

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is thinking of moving the dates of the hunt for 2020 to the last Saturday in May and September.

What do you think? Have your say by filling out the online survey here.
