New spring market blooms at St. Jean de Brebeuf Catholic School

'The best part of the night was gathering with our school community,' said school principal of well-attended inaugural event

Last week, St. Jean de Brebeuf Catholic School hosted its first-ever Spring Market.

The Spring Market, held at the school on Miller Park Avenue in Bradford, featured some "great vendors" and something for the whole family, said the school's principal, Jennifer Jefferies.

"It was wonderful to look around and know that we were supporting local businesses as well as businesses run by our very own families that are part of SJB," said Jefferies.

"We had a great turnout for this event thanks to the support of our school community and for a beautiful sunny evening," said Jefferies.

Families in attendance enjoyed a hot meal provided by Harvey’s Cookstown and a cool dessert thanks to Mister Treats Ice Cream Truck.

Inside, families enjoyed the many vendors that were selling hand-crafted wood products, cookies, sweet treats, hair accessories, children’s clothes, cleaning products, sensory toys, and much more, said Jefferies.

Families also tested their luck in the silent auction in a bid for artwork painted by local artist, Corrine Donnelly. The vendors also donated items to gift baskets that were raffled off at the end of the night.

"Our grads sold popcorn, cookies, and water to fund their upcoming celebrations. The best part of the night was gathering with our school community," said Jefferies.
