Rosary Coast to Coast, the 54-day Novena for Our Nation, will wrap up on the Thanksgiving weekend, with Rosary Rallies across the U.S. and Canada.

The goal is to bring together Catholics to pray the rosary in public, as a spiritual force - in hopes of influencing the direction of the nation through prayer.

For the first time since the Rosary Coast to Coast program was introduced in 2014, Bradford will be hosting a Rosary Rally, said Dom Duraes.

Bradford’s Rosary Rally will take place Oct. 12 at the Millennium Clock Tower, 57 Holland St. East in Bradford, starting at noon, when the “Rosary will be said in many languages, shared with as many people as possible,” said Duraes.

Although it is a Catholic event, Duraes invited all people of faith, church and community leaders to come out and share prayers for the Nation.

Oct. 13 is the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, who appeared to shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917, with a request to “Pray the Rosary.”

The weekend of Oct. 12 and 13 marks the celebration of Our Lady of Fatima. Mass will be celebrated in Portuguese at Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Church on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m., followed by a procession and candlelight vigil. On Sunday, at 2 p.m., there will be a procession and celebration of the Eucharist at Holy Martyrs, again in Portuguese, followed by a social afternoon at the Portuguese Cultural Centre of Bradford.
