Napoleon is pleased to announce that we are further extending our global operations by embarking on an expansion of our manufacturing capabilities with the construction of a new facility in Mexico.

This addition is set to complement and significantly strengthen Napoleon’s existing manufacturing footprint.

“We are very aware of the history of companies moving manufacturing from Barrie to foreign operations,” said Mike Tzimas, president of Napoleon. “It is important for our associates and the community to know that we remain steadfast in our commitment to our Napoleon associates and our facilities in Barrie.

"This addition strengthens our company by rapidly adding capacity to meet our growth needs.”

By establishing operations in Mexico, Napoleon is able to gain efficiency by positioning a third manufacturing hub closer to suppliers and U.S.-based customers.

By leveraging the USMCA trade agreement (formerly NAFTA), Napoleon will reduce our reliance on overseas manufacturing.

We anticipate that our new facility will be operational by 2025. The initial product portfolio will be centred around select grills and other sub-assemblies that are currently produced in China.

“This strategic move underscores our dedication to fortifying our global position and sharpening our competitive edge in an industry that is under extensive cost pressure," Tzimas said. "This marks yet another significant stride in our journey of renewed growth, and I am truly excited about the opportunities it will unlock for our organization.”

Napoleon is a global operation and North America’s largest privately owned manufacturer of quality fireplaces, grills, outdoor living, heating and cooling products.
