The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association Bradford chapter have been busy over the past few months, serving the community and helping those in need.
"We as an Ahmadi Muslim believe in the motto Love for All, Hatred for None and thus we believe that it is our responsibility to help our community and those in needs in the best way possible," said the organization's press secretary, Madiha Majoka.
The group of women recently served pizza, drinks, and cake to 70 residents of Blue Door Shelter. The meal also included a few boxes of Nutella and chocolates along with bookmarks for everyone.
Earlier this month, the group was at the Bradford Library where they provided all 27 staff members with a free pizza meal, including drinks and dessert.
"We really appreciate the hard work everyone is doing. This is a small token of appreciation from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association to show love to our community," said Majoka.
The group understands the difficulties everyone has had to endure during COVID, especially children, which is why they also donated toys, books, and supplies to Shining Faces Daycare on Holland Street West.
"This is the responsibility of love, compassion, care, and service taught to us by the Prophet of Islam as the obligations we owe to God's creation. I believe that this is a responsibility that God almighty has been teaching humans throughout history," said Majoka.
Majoka says the group has received a positive response from members of the community for all of their efforts.
"But it is not enough," said Majoka. "We need to keep increasing our effort and reach out to more and more people."
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Association is committed to improving and increasing its efforts in service to the community, to spread the message of love and peace.
