“Moneyball”, the first Helicopter Golf Ball Drop to take place in Simcoe County, is a fundraiser presented by Matthews House Hospice, a charitable organization. For an entry fee of $20 per ball, each participant will be entered into the Golf Ball Drop to take place Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 at Bear Creek Golf Course, Utopia, Ontario.
Participants may purchase as many balls as they wish. Only 500 balls will be available for purchase and sold on a first-come first-served basis. The closing date for the sale of tickets shall be 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018.
500 golf balls will be simultaneously dropped from a helicopter, flown by pilot Marv Chantler, over a predetermined circle on the ground on Island #9 at Bear Creek Golf Course in Utopia. The three balls that land in or closest to the three marked holes will be the winners.
Winners are defined as the participant whose name appears on the ticket corresponding to the numbered golf ball that is dropped, enters and remains in the determined circular area and whose ball number matches the number on their ticket.
