The staff at Maple Leaf Foods are pitching in to help the hungry.
Bradford’s Helping Hand Food Bank had the pleasure of picking up 13 boxes of donations from the company's Bradford plant at 65 Reagens Industrial Pkwy., on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
For the first year, the plant’s social committee organized a food drive from Oct. 16 to Nov. 2, in which staff were encouraged to bring in items such as cereals, peanut butter, canned goods, pasta and more to give back to the community and help in the local fight against food insecurity.
“Maple Leaf Foods is committed to the communities where we operate and we recognize that resilient and healthy communities are essential for a sustainable future,” the company’s communications team said in an email.
