TORONTO, ON – Kelly Lannigan of Tottenham has that “6/49 feeling” after winning a Lotto 6/49 second prize worth $94,536.50 in the Sept. 30, 2020 draw. Kelly matched five numbers plus the bonus number to win the prize.
“I play the lottery regularly,” shared Kelly, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his cheque.
The 55-year-old tree planter checked his ticket using the OLG Lottery App. “I checked a few other tickets first and I was already happy with the small amounts I won. When I realized I won big, I was stunned!”
Kelly immediately told his son about his big win. “He didn’t believe me at first because I’m a bit of a prankster,” he laughed.
“It still doesn’t feel real. I have been dreaming about converting a school bus into an RV for years,” Kelly said. “This is definitely happening!”
Lotto 6/49 players in Ontario have won over $13 billion in prizes since 1982, including 1,395 jackpot wins and 349 Guaranteed $1 Million Prize draws. Lotto 6/49 is $3 per play and draws take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
