Kash Toor of Mortgage Partners Corporation, along with neighbour and friend Flavio Digiovanni of Master Appliance Repair and Installation, has teamed up with Peter Reali's No Frills for a Christmas Turkey Giveaway.
Anyone in need of a Christmas meal can email [email protected] to have their names put on the list to receive a Christmas turkey.
Toor and his team hosted a charity hockey game at the Leisure Centre last year in support of Sick Kids Hospital but was unable to do so this year because of COVID. He still wanted to find a way to give back this holiday season, and after speaking with Digiovanni, the pair decided to host the turkey giveaway.
"We wanted to give back to the local community because a lot of people have been having a really hard time (financially)," explained Toor. "Together, us Bradfordians we will all celebrate this year with a full stomach and a warm heart knowing this is a true community, and it is what makes us special."
The neighbours reached out to Peter Reali, owner of the Bradford No Frills, who agreed to help with the giveaway, supplying the turkeys and donating sides to go with it.
Pickups will take place Dec. 21 and 22 at Bradford's No Frills, and Dec. 23 at Don Cherry's from 2 pm. to 4 p.m.
