Early this morning, a transport truck towing a standard size trailer was travelling through the intersection when the truck snagged the wires and pulled down the new lights at 10th Sideroad and 8th Line in Bradford.
South Simcoe Police are on scene and say that the cause of the incident has not been determined but it's likely that the wires were hanging lower than usual due to ice build up.
The truck is now off scene but the lights are still down. Wires laying across the road have closed 8th Line west of 10th Sideroad. 8th line, east of the intersection is open, as is 10th Sideroad.
Police on scene remind drivers that the interesection should be treated as a 4-way stop until the lights have been repaired.
