There are plenty of fun winter events and activities taking place at Georgina's outdoor recreation campus — which offers tubing, skiing, snowboarding and sledding — starting this weekend.
The ROC opens Saturday, Jan. 6
The ROC will be open for the season as of Saturday, Jan. 6 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Complete with a carpet lift and snow-making capabilities, this four-lane snow tube hill offers thrills for all ages for a low price of $25, plus HST, for an all-access ticket for two hours (tubing and lift). Test your skiing or snowboarding skills on the ramps, rails, bumps and jumps in the terrain park or sign up for a lesson in the snow school.
New this season, check out the rental shop for all your equipment needs to have fun at the ROC. The ROC welcomes Dina’s Cuzina as the new 2023-24 food concession operator for the cafeteria at the ROC Chalet. Dina’s Cuzina will be open for takeout and dine-in during ROC operational hours.

Mayor and Council New Year’s Levee
On Saturday, Jan. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon, you're invited to the Mayor and Council New Year’s Levee at the ROC. Enjoy a free pancake and sausage breakfast (while supplies last) at 9 a.m. cooked by Enbridge Gas Distribution Service and served by the mayor and members of council. Then have fun with free tubing, skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing from 10 a.m. to noon. It is free only during this two-hour period.
Bring your own equipment for skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing or rent equipment from the ROC rental shop. Helmets are mandatory for skiing and snowboarding and recommended for tubing and tobogganing.
SnoFest
Come out for a day of winter fun at SnoFest at the ROC. It takes place Saturday, Feb. 3 from 1 to 6 p.m. This annual event features activities for all ages and includes games, food, live entertainment, an igloo dance party and more. Don’t miss out on the newest addition this year — a stunning fireworks display at 6 p.m. Regular tube/lift and chalet prices apply.
