NEWS RELEASE
TOWN OF INNISFIL
*************************
The Town of Innisfil is pleased to introduce a Pop-Up Places Pilot program. These spaces are designed to create spontaneous opportunities for the community to gather, relax and play. This exciting new placemaking initiative is in support of Our Place, Innisfil’s new Official Plan.

“It is a guide to enhance place making, community character and social connections in our Town and to guide municipal actions and other Town Master Planning processes,” says senior policy planner, Paul Pentikainen.

This is a unique opportunity to create small gestures that make use of under-utilized spaces in the community. Each location will be equipped with Muskoka chairs, tables, playing cards, bubbles, chalk and more. Using the hashtag #OurPlace we will follow along with the community as they find and explore these pop-up places and share stories through our social media channels.

We hope the community will enjoy these unique places tucked away in surprising locations across our community. We will make Innisfil a place that brings the community together… A place to grow, a place to connect, a place to work, and a place to call home.
