In plane view: Bradford thanked for 'support' during Jalsa Salana conference

More than 20,000 people registered to attend event, held recently at the Hadiqa Ahmad Ahmadiyya Muslim Community on the town's 11th Line

A message of thanks jetted across the sky above Bradford Saturday afternoon.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Canada used a banner hanging off the back of an airplane to issue a special message to the residents of the town, about a week after the organization hosted its 46th annual Jalsa Salana conference at the Hadiqa Ahmad Ahmadiyya Muslim Community on the 11th Line.

More than 20,000 people registered to attend the event, essentially turning the site into a makeshift village for several days.

“Islam teaches gratitude and appreciation as important principles, especially towards those who have extended their kindness and affection,” the group said in a social-media post. “Thank you, Bradford. We appreciate your support, patience, and hospitality.”
