Help bring SWAN more success this weekend.
Successful Women Always Networking will host its third annual pancake fundraiser Feb. 9, with proceeds supporting the group's Coldest Night of the Year walking team. Pancakes will be served at the Out of the Cold Cafe at 177 Church St.
For $10 per person, enjoy a freshly made breakfast prepared by SWAN volunteers. The menu includes pancakes, sausages, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and juice.
Breakfast runs from 9 a.m. to noon.
This is the United Way Simcoe Muskoka’s fourth year organizing the local Coldest Night, and the second year in which all money raised supports WOW Living’s Groundwork program. Groundwork helps people increase their resiliency by providing six participants with wrap-around services like psychotherapy, mentoring, a peer support group that meets every Thursday, and part-time employment.
“We couldn’t support amazing local charities and programs without the help of people who donate, sponsor, and come out for breakfast,” SWAN said in a statement on its website. “So, won’t you join us to help strengthen our community?”
