Curious as to how much money Mayor Rob Keffer and his council makes for their services to the town? At Tuesday night’s virtual council meeting, a report was received detailing all the council and board remuneration and expenses for 2019:

Baseline municipal remuneration for Mayor Rob Keffer was $43, 734.50, plus benefits.

Deputy Mayor James Leduc: $29,166.48 plus benefits.

Other council member received $23,301.16 plus benefits.

Keffer and Leduc, who are also both members of Simcoe County council, received mileage allowances of $3,000 and $2,000 respectively; other councillors got $1,500 each per annum.

Each member received $540 for internet costs. 

Keffer and Leduc earned an additional $22,616.58 and $21,748.79 respectively from the County of Simcoe, as members of Simcoe County Council. 

Keffer also received $3,350 for his role on the Bradford West Gwillimbury/Innisfil Police Services Board, which meets monthly.

Coun. Gary Baynes and Coun. Gary Lamb received $700 and $500 respectively as members of the Holland Marsh Drainage Committee. Councillors Mark Contois and Raj Sandhu each received $1,000 as members of the Library Board. Coun. Gary Lamb received $100 for sitting on the Library Board, before stepping down to make way for the new members. 

Phone bills, conferences and mileage/meal costs for all of council totalled $27,781.81.
