Local business group SWAN (Successful Women Always Networking) have launched a fundraising initiative in support of the Bradford Helping Hand Food Bank.
Every year, the group chooses a charity to fundraise for and this year have decided to throw their support behind the Helping Hand Food Bank.
Get or give a box of locally sourced Holland Marsh and Ontario-grown fruits and veggies for Thanksgiving, with all donated boxes and proceeds of sales going to Bradford Helping Hand Food Bank to support our community.
Boxes range from $25 to $35.
There are a variety of box options available and ready to order directly at Home | Swan Bradford (square.site).
Items in the box will include an assortment of locally sourced carrots, onions, parsnips, potatoes, squash, sweet potatoes, apples and pears.
Boxes will be ready for pickup between Wednesday, Oct. 8 and Sunday, Oct. 13.
Eat healthy and support your local farmers.
Orders are due by end of day Sunday, Oct. 6.
SWAN will also have sample boxes available to preview at this weekend’s Fall in Love with Bradford event put on by the Bradford Board of Trade at the Bradford Community Centre Sunday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information can be found here: Fall in Love With Bradford | Facebook.
