Matthews House Hospice Foundation (MHHF) is thrilled to announce the extraordinary success of our Giving Hearts Gala! Held on Friday, October 25th, 2024 at the Waterloo Officers’ Mess Hall at Base Borden, the event raised over $365,000 – our most successful Gala to date!
We welcomed 225 guests to join us for A Night of Masquerade featuring a gourmet dinner, live music by The New Hollywood Band, dancing, an exciting purse raffle, silent auction, live auction, and Fund The Need Auction. This year’s “Fund The Need” live auction raised funds for the Memory Care and Dementia Day Program.
“I want to thank everyone who made the Giving Hearts Gala a tremendous success. A sincere thank you to our guests and sponsors, especially our Presenting Sponsor Kevin Kemp. Thank you to our Gala committee, volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this amazing event possible. Lastly, thank you to Canadian Forces Base Borden for hosting our event. We are fortunate to have the generous support of our community.” Marv Chantler, President of Matthews House Hospice Foundation Board of Directors
Funds raised from the Giving Hearts Gala directly support the community through our residential & community hospice programs and services. Each year, Matthews House Hospice Foundation must raise over $2 million to continue to serve the South Simcoe community. Participating in our signature events, like the Giving Hearts Gala, hosting an event in support of MHHF, or making a contribution are all ways you can help us reach our fundraising goal!
