Residents of Green Valley Estates enjoyed a lovely day under clear skies as they went all out yesterday to make Easter fun for the young ones.
The event involved numerous local businesses pitching in to make the event special, as noted in the following news release from organizers:
For the fifth year in a row, Green Valley Estates residents took part in another amazing event for the children – in the spirit of bringing the children together with their neighbours to play and enjoy their time doing a variety of family-friendly activities, all while supporting a good cause.
The event included a huge jumping castle, inflatable games, face paint, gymnastics, a magic show put on by none other than Scott Dietrich, an egg hunt and a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny and a variety of Easter art activities with lots of prizes to be won, all donated by local businesses in Bradford including Peter Dykie Jr.
This event came together with the hard work of Suzanne Battaglia-Monteleone of Complete Handyworks, Jennifer Feeney of Jen Feeney Events, and Ligia Vidal of Seint Beauty leading the committee of volunteers to bring this event to fruition for our community.
Our Easter Eggstravaganza would not have been possible without the generous donations of a number of incredible local businesses that donated including JP Concrete Solutions, Bradford Wolves, Jen Feeney Events, Genesis Gymnastics, Complete Handyworks, Councillor Peter Dykie Jr, and so many more. The event was free for families but in the spirit of giving we collected non-perishable food items for Helping Hand Food Bank right here in Bradford.
We also enlisted the help of several high school volunteers looking to get community service hours to really get the whole community involved.
We are all so proud to be residents of a warm, caring and family friendly community and so pleased we were able to bring people together this way while contributing to a great cause.
Happy Easter!
