On Good Friday, worshippers at Trinity Anglican Church in Bradford followed in the footstep of Jesus, enacting the Stations of the Cross – from condemnation, to Crucifixion – outside the church, in the pouring rain.
The Good Friday procession was followed by a liturgy inside the church.
Easter celebrations will continue at the church, with an Easter vigil and service of light at 8 p.m. on Holy Saturday, and 10 a.m. service on Sunday of the Resurrection.
Churches around the world are observing Easter this weekend, even as Jewish residents prepare to celebrate Passover, starting tonight, April 19 – a weekend of worship, prayer and celebration.
