Well, how'd Halloween go?
Were you scared out of your wits? Amused by the cute costumes of some younger visitors? A bit of both?
I love it when Oct. 31 brings out a range of great emotions. But what it does to my family's teeth — not so much. If you’re looking to take a break from Halloween sweets, there's an assortment of upcoming events that will keep your mind busy.
Here’s what’s happening in Bradford and Innisfil this weekend:
Dump and Chase Diaper Drive
Help members of the South Simcoe Minor Hockey Association's u15AA team collect diaper donations and raise money for Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions. They'll be collecting at the BWG Leisure Centre (471 West Park Ave.) Friday and Saturday (Nov. 1 and 2). You can also give through a GoFundMe page.
Autumn art show and sale returns
More than a dozen artists will showcase their work Nov. 2 and 3 at the fourth annual Innisfil Autumn Art Show and Sale. It runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lakeshore branch of the Innisfil ideaLAB and Library (967 Innisfil Beach Rd.). The show is billed as a great opportunity for some special, one-of-a-kind gift shopping, with a wide range of price points offered. For more details, visit innisfilstudiotour.ca.

Have faith in peace talks
The second annual interfaith symposium takes place Saturday, from 2:30 to 5 p.m., in the Morgan Russell Memorial Arena and Community Centre (1354 Killarney Beach Rd.) banquet hall.
