Get ready to deck the halls with help from Holy Trinity Catholic High School.
The school is getting ready to host its annual Christmas market from 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 8 at Holy Martyrs of Japan Parish, 167 Essa St. in Bradford.
So far, it's set to feature almost 40 vendors offering decorations, jewellery, baskets, specialty items, clothing and various gifts, according to principal Michael Borgia.
“One can do all their Christmas shopping in one stop,” he said via email. “This beloved seasonal event, organized by our Catholic school community council, brings together our students, families and community members for a day of festive shopping, entertainment and charity.”
Beyond shopping, the market is also set to include food, games, prizes and draws.
There is no cost to attend and proceeds are to be split between supporting the school’s needs and helping various charities.
“We are strong believers of helping our community and those in need as Jesus did,” Borgia said.
He explained the annual market started in 2019, made possible by parents, staff and students who help with the planning, setup and execution to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
“This market has been a new tradition that truly shows the spirit of Holy Trinity. We hope to make it a long-lasting tradition for years to come,” Borgia said.
The principal also extended the school’s appreciation to Rev. John Pak at Holy Martyrs of Japan for use of the church hall, for which they are “so grateful.”
“This market is our way of bringing the community and church together, while working towards our goal to raise money for Holy Trinity,” he said.
