The front of a Bayfield Street business in north-end Barrie is boarded up this afternoon after a vehicle drove through the front window Tuesday morning.
At 10:35 a.m., Nov. 30, city police responded to 498 Bayfield St., where a vehicle had driven through the Reitmans storefront.
Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon said the two women in the vehicle were not seriously injured and driver error was to blame for the crash at the women's clothing store.
“It appears the driver stepped on the gas instead of the brake and went through the front of the store,” Leon told BarrieToday. “It doesn't look like there is any structural damage to the building and, being it was private property, no charges are being laid.”
