NEWS RELEASE
TOWN OF BRADFORD WEST GWILLIMBURY
*************************
With fall’s arrival and the season of change upon us, the Town of BWG has the perfect way to dispose of your unused items.

Our fall Curbside Treasure Hunt is taking place the weekend of Sept. 28 and 29. Residents are invited to place their unwanted, gently used items at the curb for others to take free of charge. This is a great opportunity to give unwanted items a new life while keeping them out of our landfills.

Starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, residents can place items at the curb in front of their homes. All curbside treasure items must be clearly labelled with a ‘free’ sign, and residents are reminded to only take items that are clearly marked as free.

“BWG’s Curbside Treasure Hunt is a great opportunity to discover hidden treasures that others are looking to part ways with. This weekend is all about reducing unnecessary waste, keeping items out of our landfill, and giving unwanted items a new home.” — Mayor James Leduc

All unclaimed items must be removed from the curb by 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29. Any items that are left at the curb after this time may be subject to a bylaw violation.

Please be mindful of the items you are placing out and ensure they do not pose a safety risk to children that may be playing in the area or those collecting the item(s). Residents should also ensure that their items are not obstructing any sidewalks or fire hydrants.

The town encourages participating residents to consider donating any unclaimed items to charitable, non-profit organizations, or community groups once the weekend is over.
