NEWS RELEASE

The Coldest Night of the Year is happening on Feb. 22, 2025, and it’s time to put those winter boots to good use.

We’re calling on everyone to bundle up, brave the cold, and walk in support of S.H.I.F.T., and those experiencing or at risk of homelessness and/or low income in our community. The cold won’t stand a chance when you’re walking to support those who truly need our help.

Here’s the plan:

  • What: Coldest Night of the Year — a community walk to raise funds and awareness for S.H.I.F.T.
  • When: Feb. 22, 2025, 4 to 7 p.m. (mark your calendars)
  • Where: 49 Nelson St. W., Alliston

Why join us? Oh, let us count the ways:

  1. Feel like a superhero (minus the cape)
  2. Great for your health — burn calories and bad vibes by walking to support others
  3. Connect with neighbours — and warm up to some “cool” conversations
  4. Directly impact lives — your steps, donations, and energy change lives

But here’s the kicker: We need your help to make this year’s Coldest Night of the Year the most successful one yet. Whether you’re signing up to walk, volunteering, or donating to support a friend’s efforts, every contribution counts. So, help your community and join the movement.

Yes, the cold is guaranteed. But don’t worry; we’ve got hot beverages, cozy vibes, and the power of community to keep you moving forward.

So, let’s turn the Coldest Night into the warmest one of the year. Join us, sign up today, and let’s make Feb. 22 unforgettable.

To register or donate, visit www.cnoy.org/alliston.

Because while we can’t control the weather, we can control how we show up for each other.
