"On February 24, 2025, Ukraine commemorates the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion - a day that has become a symbol of the Ukrainian people's resilience and their fight for freedom, independence, and the right to live in their own country.
To commemorate this significant date and show support for Ukraine, the Ukrainian Community of Bradford organized a car rally on February 22, 2025. A convoy of cars decorated with Ukrainian flags, national symbols, and patriotic slogans drove through the city, drawing the attention of residents and reminding the world of Ukraine’s ongoing struggle.
This event was not only an act of remembrance but also an important reminder that the war is not over, and the support of Ukrainians in the diaspora remains crucial. Participants of the rally called on the community to continue supporting Ukraine and to remember the defenders who fight daily for freedom.
The Ukrainian Community in Bradford once again demonstrated its unity and unwavering faith in victory. The third anniversary of the invasion served as another occasion to remind the world: Ukraine fights, Ukraine stands, Ukraine will win!"
Scot Davidson MP York-Simcoe said:
"The Ukrainian community of Bradford once again gathered together to stand under the blue, yellow colours of Ukraine.
They have done so for 3 years now in a show of resolve and solidarity in the face of Russian aggression. We are so fortunate to have been able to be able to welcome many Ukrainians into our community of Bradford West Gwillimbury who have fled hardship and the horrors of war.
We can hold on to the hope and promise that there are better days ahead for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people."
