CADETS' CORNER: Local cadet recognized for four years of service

Cadets are also preparing for the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser

Cadets’ Corner is a weekly column submitted by the 37 Orville Hand Air Cadet Squadron.

At the monthly Commanding Officer's (C.O.) Parade Feb. 1, 37 Orville Hand Air Cadet Squadron fell in to their flights and stood at attention while Major Hodskins inspected each cadets uniform. He let the cadets know that uniforms are looking good.

Also as part of the CO's Parade a Cadet Service Medal went to Flight Sargent Xu for his four years with the squadron.

The Air Cadet League of Canada (ACL) created an award to recognize continuous meritorious cadet service of at least four years by deserving air cadets.

To qualify for this award, a serving cadet must have successfully completed four years of honourable service with no serious infractions and be recommended by the squadron commanding officer.

Congratulations FlSgt Xu and thank you for your four years of dedication.
