BWG marks start of National AccessAbility Week with flag-raising

Community members are encouraged to wear red on May 31 to show their support for people living with disability

This week is National AccessAbility Week in Canada.

The Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) had their informational booth set up at the BWG Leisure Centre on Monday. The ACC provided information on the town's programs and answered questions and listened to ideas put forth.

A flag raising was later held outside in Sunshine Square.

Council members and town staff spoke with local residents to raise awareness of accessibility within BWG.

Community members are encouraged to wear red on May 31 to show their support for people living with disability and their commitment to helping create an accessible and inclusive Canada.
