The results are in, with 13 winners standing out ahead of the pack.
The Bradford Board of Trade held their annual Business Excellence Awards Gala at the Club at Bond Head Oct. 28. For more than 15 years, the awards have celebrated the achievements and success of the local business community.
“These awards recognize and validate the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of businesses and individuals in our community,” Ryan Shapcott, board president said via email. “The gala on Saturday night brought the business community together as they celebrated, networked and enjoyed a night out with their fellow business owners.”
In addition to gala staples like the community and people’s choice awards, this year also featured the debut of the Student Achievement in Business Award which highlighted one student from Bradford District High School and one from Holy Trinity Catholic School.
“Two exceptional students are chosen from their schools’ business department, focusing on the students’ dedication, hard work and creativity in their business program,” Shapcott said.

As a chamber of commerce and non-profit organization, the board’s mandate is to sustain and promote local businesses and it says it is committed to enriching the lives of its members and the business community through services, networking and advocacy.
