Last week, BradfordToday asked you, our loyal readers, to join us in supporting the Helping Hand Food Bank this festive season - and your response was nothing short of extraordinary.
During the holidays, an increased number of people are reliant on our local food bank. This increased need means that Helping Hand Food Bank needs our support more than ever.
BradfordToday brought our whole community together to help provide that support.
We partnered with Zehrs Bradford to offer food packages for purchase through an online pop-up store.
BradfordToday and generous local businesses pledged to match every purchase made through the online store, meaning that every purchase was matched six times!
Together, we raised an incredible $2,924 for the Helping Hand Food Bank and delivered 15 food packages, helping to support those who need it most over the holiday season. Thank you!
Special thanks to Zehrs Bradford for donating the food packages for this initiative, and to the following businesses who have joined us in matching each donation: Addictive Design, Botas Electrical, Bradford Wolves Soccer Club, Wolves Athletic Centre and Crozier Consulting Engineers.
If you didn't get a chance to participate in this program, we encourage you to send your donation directly to the local food bank. You can donate online, call (905-775-2824) to arrange a donation, or click here for more information on how to give back.
