The money was raised at a recent car wash, hosted by the Bradford Volunteer Firefighters Association, in the Canadian Tire parking lot. The Bradford Volunteer Firefighters Association held their highly anticipated annual fundraising car wash event earlier this summer.

It was a resounding success, raising more than $3,000 for various community causes.

This heartfelt initiative, which took place in the Canadian Tire parking lot, saw a continuous flow of cars and trucks, with volunteer firefighters and their family members hard at work scrubbing and drying vehicles in exchange for donations.

The funds generated from this event will be channeled into an array of community charities, exemplifying the association's commitment to making a positive impact in Bradford and beyond.

Beneficiaries of this year's donations include the Bradford Helping Hands Food Bank, the MS Society (Multiple Sclerosis), Big Brothers and Sisters, Southlake Hospital, Canadian Tire Jumpstart and the Canadian Cancer Society, among others.

Every dollar raised goes a long way in helping those in need, and we are immensely grateful to everyone who contributed, said Charles Shaw, one of the volunteer firefighters.

One particular cause close to the association's heart is their continued support for Mason Dunkin, who is bravely battling Chiari malformation.

The Bradford Volunteer Firefighters Association has been a steadfast pillar of support for Mason and his family.

The success of the annual car wash highlights the power of collective efforts in creating positive change.

It not only reinforces the sense of unity within Bradford but also showcases the community's commitment to helping those less fortunate, said Shaw.
