The Bradford Lions Club were at the Helping Hand Food Bank on Wednesday afternoon, dropping off their large bag of change from the annual Pumpkin Fest earlier this month.
In exchange for providing hotdogs at the event, the Lions asked guests for donations to the Helping Hand Food Bank. In total they were able to raise $312.65 for the food bank.
The Lions want to let the community know that despite the pandemic, they are still here to help.
Since COVID, the Lions have been out and about in the community, whether to deliver coffees to front line workers or dropping off snacks to Southlake hospital, the Lions have been there to help.
The Lions will be supporting the food bank once again at their drive-thru bottle drive taking place on Nov. 7 at Lion’s Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds will go toward the food bank’s Christmas Hamper program.
Food bank clients are reminded to register for their hampers no later than Nov. 13.
