Snow squall warning replaces snow squall watch for:

  • Newmarket - Georgina - Northern York Region, Ont
  • Listowel - Milverton - Northern Perth County, Ont.
  • Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County, Ont.
  • Innisfil - New Tecumseth - Angus, Ont.

Current details: Snow squalls developing late this afternoon or early this evening.

What:
Local snowfall accumulations of 10 to 20 cm.
Peak snowfall rates of 2 to 3 cm per hour.
Poor visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.

When:
Late this afternoon or early this evening through Friday morning.

Additional information:
Snow squalls off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay are expected to develop late this afternoon or early this evening. Snow squalls are expected to weaken Friday morning.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
