Pancakes for everyone as students prepare for the Lent season

Students at Holy Trinity at down to a pancake breakfast Tuesday morning in preparation for Lent

On Tuesday, hospitality students at Holy Trinity High School in Bradford organized a Pancake Tuesday breakfast for the school to enjoy before the beginning of Lent.

Also known as Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras, students enjoyed a delicious breakfast and filled up before Ash Wednesday.

The Lent season lasts 40 days, beginning on Ash Wednesday and ending the Saturday of Easter weekend. Lent is a season during which Catholics and Christians meditate and prepare for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
