TOWN OF BRADFORD WEST GWILLIMBURY

This summer, enjoy the warm weather with free outdoor entertainment at the 'Music in the Park' and 'Outdoor Movies', hosted by the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. Both series of events will take place on the west lawn beside the BWG Library & Cultural Centre, with Music in the Park taking place in July and Outdoor Movies in August.
Music in the Park, presented by Vaughan Chrysler, features live performances by the following bands:
- Wednesday, July 3, 7 - 9 p.m. – New Kid in Town (salute to The Eagles)
- Wednesday, July 10, 7 -9 p.m. – Elevation (salute to U2)
- Wednesday, July 17, 7 - 9 p.m. – Ninth Line (local Bradford band)
- Wednesday, July 24, 7 - 9 p.m. – Mudmen (Celtic rock band)
Outdoor Movies, presented by Summerlyn Dental, features the following movies on a large screen outside under the stars. Movies start at dusk, with pre-movie activities starting at 8 p.m.:
- Tuesday, Aug. 6 – How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World (supporting sponsor: Genesis Gymnastics)
- Thursday, Aug. 8 – Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (supporting sponsor: No Frills)
- Tuesday, Aug. 20 – Wall-E (supporting sponsor: Oxford Learning)
- Thursday, Aug. 22 – Aladdin (Special Guests: BWG Fire & Emergency Services, early start time 7 p.m.)
At Music in the Park, intermission acts will showcase local singers, and additional activities will include Kids Fit exercises and face painting. At Outdoor Movies, pre-movie activities will vary from gymnastics, face painting, balloon twisters, and fire prevention games with the BWG Fire & Emergency Services. Some movie nights will also include food vendors such as desserts from Sweet B’s.
Feel free to bring your snacks, blankets and lawn chairs to make yourself comfortable during the music performances and movies. Whether you’re looking for a family activity, date night, or just some time to unwind, Music in the Park and Outdoor Movies are the perfect way to spend a summer evening.
