The Innisfil Arts, Culture, Heritage Council is discovering its musical roots this summer.

Not only is the organization sponsoring the Innisfil Concert Series, in partnership with the Innisfil ideaLAB & Library – a series that has already brought The Ennis Sisters to the library in Alcona – it is now set to explore the Vinyl Frontier.

Anyone who loves, owns and collects vinyl records is invited to bring their faves to the Lakeshore Library, 967 Innisfil Beach Rd., on five Vinyl Frontier Thursday nights – to spin and share.

Or as member Mike Richard put it, “Bring your records, play some tunes,” and enjoy some free fun.

The Vinyl Frontier evenings are scheduled for June 20, July 11 and 25, Aug. 15 and 22, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in front of the Lakeshore library. All are welcome to drop by.

Also coming up:

On June 10, the arts council presents Suzie Vinnick and Rick Fines in concert at the Lakeshore ideaLAB, an evening of blues and roots music. Doors open at 7 p.m., concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 each. See iachc.ca/events to order. Tickets may be available at the door.
