BradfordToday, in partnership with the Alliston & District Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Well, here I am. Sage. I'm beautiful. I must get told that 100 times a day.
I'm not going to lie, I've had a rough life. I was used to make puppies. A lot of them.
I guess I made enough because the next thing I know I'm alone and tied to a post. Someone came and got me and took me to a vet.
I was very skinny. I went to a shelter and it's been awesome there!
I eat great food and have put on 20 pounds.
I get walks every day and we mosey at my own pace. My hips and back legs have suffered because of all the litters, but I am stronger now than I can remember.
The hugs… Oh my goodness, the hugs… They are never ending! I am feeling love, and I love it! They call me a low-energy dog. I guess that's because I like to laze around and I tire easily (especially in the heat). Sometimes a girl just wants to be lazy. It's who I am.
A couple of other things: I don't like cats or other small animals. I will try to eat them.
I'm not a fan of other dogs.
You know, I really just wish I could find a quiet, calm, adult-only home where I'm the centre of attention, so I can relax and not worry about a thing.
Because of my past, I haven't had the opportunity to learn the housebreaking thing. I can't wait to learn though!
I like to play but I like this love thing much more.
Oh right, and I'm approximately three years old, a cane corso mix, and I'm beautiful — you already know that though!
